Love this place!!! This is the go to spot we go for thinly sliced prime ribeye I use to cook gyudon. Anyone interested in Japan, Japanese food, or a fun adventure should go here. The bookstore is very pricy but very fun to browse. Make sure to browse the candy aisle and pick some random candy to try! You can't go wrong with ramune flavor or fruit flavors.
Speaking of ramune if you haven't tried it-try it. It's a Japanese soda in a glass bottle that you push a glass ball down into to drink it. So fun!!
The bakery is sweet and always packed. Egg salad sandwhich is a must try. Egg salad sandwhich you ask? It's made with Japanese mayo is very different than American mayo and AHHHHHH MAZING.
I would skip the food court because the food is lower quality. Instead get yourself some rice balls, dango,or sushi from the supermarket side. The boba place or ice cream place are exceptions to this and are absolutely delicious. -

Second trip to Mitsuwa Market this weekend. My daughter (ten years old) and I loved going up and down every single aisle in the grocery/housewares/drinks and produce aisles trying to figure out the language to understand packaging and function of each item. We loved the beauty aisles, candy and condiment aisles the most. You can get shiitake mushroom so cheap here! Fresh or dried. Love the biore strips here because there are more in the package for about the same price as Biore in Target stores.
There is a food court MOST PLACES ARE CASH ONLY. Good luck finding a table, it can get super crowded in here. Lines can be pretty long.
We love the bookstore. All kinds of books in English and Japanese. Kids books, cook books, Manga, comic books, posters, pens, markers, plush and all kinds of gadget like items. My daughter could walk the aisles of the bookstore for hours if I let her. So many things to choose from. There is a discount card and if you purchase it, you'll get 10% off every purchase. If you shop here enough it's totally worth it.
We will come here whenever we are in the area. -

Been coming here for many years and seems that they have recently remodeled with new decor and shops, constantly making updates to make this place more appealing and enjoyable.
My usual stops are the food in the food court and then the grocery shops. The only place where no food and drinks is allowed is the bookstore so go there first.
The prices are what the going prices are in that area and only area where HMart is not close to for any comparable items.
Parking is small but with persistence you eventually find a space. -

I love this marketplace. There is so much to see so much to buy I go bananas agh.I love eating a udon soup. I get all the bargains I can find and if I have time I go shopping for some souvenirs. I love to sample free food and drinks that might be offering. The is a chocolate shop and a fancy cake shop too is like going to Japan without flight. Mitsuwa is the closes am going to get to Japan. You can also visit the liquor department too many sakes to chose from.
The fish is so fresh as well as the meat. There is something for everyone here young and old. You like anime you can find it here too. I will come back and spend more time -

Super excited to have such a large Asian market in the middle of the suburbs so I can get my Asian grocery fix. Unfortunately, prices are kind of on the high side for a lot of things though. But that's generally the case with Japanese stores.
I hadn't been here for a long time and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had remodeled when I popped in today to get some Royce chocolate. There are several boutique shops, a bakery, the food court mainstays, a large section with sushi and bento boxes to go, and a new self checkout area. Nice!
The only thing missing that I couldn't find was Japanese Kit Kats.
